DESCRIPTION:The VNCS\, Victoria Japanese Friendship Society (VJFS)\, supported by the Old Cemetery Society consider it a privilege to take care of the 152 Japanese pioneer and Japanese-Canadian gravestones at Ross Bay Cemetery. Every August we gather to clean\, place flowers\, and place stuffed toys for the children’s stones. We invite anyone interested to come and join in the work parties while learning more about Japanese-Canadian history in Victoria.
