Ikebana (生け花) – Flower Arranging

Ikebana (生け花, “living flowers”) is the Japanese art of flower arrangement, also known as kadō (華道, the “way of flowers”).

Michiko Seguev sensei provides instruction in the “Sogetsu School” of flower arranging. The classes have up to 10 students, ranging from beginner to more advanced levels. Each student or small group is given an assignment to complete and there is time for sensei to offer individual instruction. Then all the arrangements are displayed the the students can observe how the basic principles have been interpreted in each arrangement.
