, The Japanese Friendship Society of Victoria, VNCS

Victoria Japanese Friendship Society is a non-profit organization which was founded in 1995 upon its principle mandate to support Japanese immigrants and long-term visitors in greater Victoria, as well as to exchange friendships with Canadians who are interested in Japan.

We celebrate seasonal events such as Mochi-tsuki/rice cake pounding on New Year’s Day, Autumn bazaar, Obon festival/paying respectful visit to graves in August. We also gather for pot-luck lunch, Karaoke singing, walking, and crafting every month. A monthly Sakura newsletter is sent out to members.

If you are wanting to make your life in the Victoria region more enjoyable and comfortable, come and join us!
