In the wake of the most recent devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, two of Victoria’s foremost Japanese musicians, Victoria Symphony percussionist Masako Hockey (Marimba) and Satomi Edwards (Koto – Japanese Harp) will be presenting a charity benefit concert this Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Sands Funeral Chapel & Reception Centre, 1803 Quadra Street, Victoria.
A reception with coffee and tea will follow the concert. The requested minimum donation for this event is$15.00.
100% of all proceeds will go to the Canadian Red Cross to aid their ongoing efforts to support those affected by this incredibly devastating tragedy.
