2012 Hiroshima-Nagasaki Remembered

The annual lantern ceremony, marking the 67th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Japan will be held at Esquimalt Gorge Park (off Tillicum Road just south of the Gorge Waterway).
7:00pm – Lantern making starts
7:30pm – Words and Songs of Peace
8:00pm – Floating lanterns placed in the Gorge while lanterns with battery candles will be placed on the lawn
[International gaggles of Raging Grannies will be attending during their 25th Anniversary UnConvention activities.]
(Bring a blanket &/or chair to sit on and a battery candle if you wish. Floating lantern supplies will be provided.)
