Thank you so much to all of the wonderful volunteers who were able to come and make this year’s Obon grave washing another success. The weather was awesome and the cleaning went very well.
We had a great group of 14 volunteers to clean all of the graves of the early Japanese pioneers and Japanese-Canadians buried in Ross Bay Cemetery. We had plenty of donated flowers to ensure every grave got more than one…but I think the deer were the most excited about the flowers.
